Economic Clusters
Extensive quantitative and qualitative study of the region's industrial base identified three key areas of clustering: Software and Social and Behavioral Science Research; Food and Beverage Manufacturing; and Manufacturing. The studies and their findings, posted below, transformed regional understanding of their "Key Industries" and inform the 2013 Regional Prosperity Summit. Based upon interviews, surveys, and industrial concentrations, the studies make recommendations to economic development professionals in Lane County regarding issues of workforce development, marketing of regional assets, public goods investment, and strategic outreach to businesses.
